Your pet is important to us. Because we care, we want to assure you that every effort will be taken to make your pet's visit as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Due to the unpredictable behavior of animals, situations arise that are unexpected.

The pet is fit and healthy, Grooming which takes place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner's risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing health\skin conditions for which Barks2Bows LLC cannot be held liable.

The pet's rabies vaccine is up to date (as required by law) unless otherwise discussed.

“De-matting" or complete coat removal will dramatically alter your pet's appearance. This procedure may expose pre-existing health\skin problems for which Barks2Bows LLC cannot be held liable.
FLEA/TICK INFESTATION/SALON SANITATION
Flea and tick infestation cannot be tolerated. Client is responsible for keeping their pet(s) flea and tick free. If a flea or tick is found on your pet, Barks2Bows will administer a flea and tick shampoo to eradicate the fleas in order to maintain salon sanitation. If Barks2Bows finds an infestation of fleas or ticks on a pet, an additional $35 de-bug cleaning fee will be added in addition to the groom fee for this service. There may be side effects, including, but not limited to allergic reactions, which may result from the manufacture-recommended usage of said products, which Client agrees that Barks2Bows will not be held responsible for. Additionally, Client is also aware that any such treatments are not guaranteed to be one hundred (100%) effective.

MATTED OR NEGLECTED COAT
​
Excessive de-matting ($45.00 de-matting fee will be added at checkout) is a painful, time-consuming and costly procedure that causes extreme discomfort and can aggravate, or cause skin problems. Client is aware that neglect of the pet’s coat can be cause for problems after grooming such as clipper/brush irritation. If Client’s pet does not remain still accidents can happen such as, cuts, nicks, etc. from clippers or scissors. However, it is at Barks2Bows discretion to determine if it is safe for the pet to be de-matted, if not, a “shave-down “of the pets coat will be completed. Shaving your pet may dramatically change your pet’s appearance and the hair will be very close to the skin. This may expose pre-existing skin conditions. Client’s pet will receive a shave down & start over (additional fee for shave down.) Closely shaved pets are also prone to sunburn & should either have sun screen applied daily or should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. In certain breeds & coat types, the coat may not grow back the same. Removing a heavily matted coat includes the risk of nicks, cuts and/or abrasions due to moles, warts or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin which can cause mold, fungus, bacteria or skin irritations that exist prior to the grooming process. The after-effects of mat removal procedures may include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, or failure of hair to re-grow. Client is responsible for the condition of the pet’s coat and will not hold Barks2Bows responsible in the event of adverse effects of mat removal.

APPOINTMENT TIMES

An appointment time is an estimated time of arrival. Arrival time will be in a 1-2 hour time span. As a mobile service, our schedule is subject to interruptions and delays, such as but not limited to Refueling, traffic, driving distance from the previous appointment, and running over on a previous appointment. If Barks2Bows feels they will be more than 15 minutes early or late, Barks2Bows may call ahead.

PICTURE CONSENT
Barks2Bows, LLC maintains an Internet (website, Facebook page, etc.) and public relations (flyers, mailings, etc.) presence for purposes including marketing and client education. Part of this presence includes posting and disseminating photographs of our services and their daily workings. Therefore, we may be interested in using images of your pet(s) and/or family as part of the effort to maintain, expand, and educate the public about our business and services.
PAYMENT: I understand that payment is due upon completion of the grooming. We accept Cash, Credit, or Debit Cards. We do Not accept checks and do not carry cash to make change Tips are welcomed. If not satisfied with service, this must be addressed at the time of service. After payment is processed and complete, you agree that the service was satisfactory. A $35.00 fee will be charged to return to the residence to fix any issues after the original service was completed. I understand that there will be a $20.00 travel charge for any distance over 20 miles from Belton, MO.
LIABILITY
1. I (owner/parent) understand that if my pet has a history of aggression or biting, Barks2Bows LLC reserves the right to refuse service and all bites will be reported to the local authorities as required by law. I understand that I will still be charged for the service.

I understand that I am liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from injuries caused by my pet.
3. I expressly waive and relinquish any and all claims against Barks2Bows LLC, its employees, and representatives, except for those arising from negligence on the part of Barks2Bows, LLC.
4. I have disclosed to Barks2Bows, LLC all known dangers associated with my pet.
5. I expressly understand and agree that Barks2Bows, LLC shall not be held responsible for any damage to my property.
6. I understand that under no circumstances will Barks2Bows, LLC be liable for consequential damages.
7. If any medical problems develop while my pet is in the care of Barks2Bows, I authorize Barks2Bows LLC to do whatever is necessary for the safety, health, and well-being of my pet. Further, I assume full financial responsibility for any and all expenses incurred.
8. I hereby declare to Barks2Bows LLC that I am the legal owner of my pet; that my pet has not been exposed to any infectious illness within the last (30) thirty days; that my pet has been properly inoculated for the following vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella as well as a negative fecal exam within the last year; that my pet is currently and properly licensed; I (the owner) certify the information I have provided to be true and accurate, and I (the owner) have read this agreement in its entirety.
KEY ON FILE SERVICE

Barks2Bows Mobile Pet Grooming offers a key on hand service. With a Key or Garage Code on file this will allow Barks2Bows to access your pet at your scheduled appointment time, if you are not able to be home.
If you choose this service you must have a credit card on file. With this service payment is due before your appointment. You will receive an email after the appointment is completed.
Upon booking you will receive a confirmation email. In that email will be a link to sign our online waiver form. Please have this completed before your appointment. Barks2Bows will not be held responsible for any damages or theft to clients property or home while on the appointment to groom your pets.
Cancellations

Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 48 hours notice to waive the FULL appointment fee.

In the event of inclement weather, a family emergency or any other uncontrollable circumstance, the groomer has the discretion to waive the fee within the 48 hour period.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we feel the need to do so. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the groomer.
Inclimate Weather.
We try to work as long as conditions are not dangerous. If you are unsure, please call us to confirm.

No-Shows
​
It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule. (If you miss the appointment time you will be required to have a card on file to rebook).

We reserve the right to charge the FULL grooming fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a "no-show". Please make every effort to call 24 hours to cancel or reschedule when possible to avoid such situations. Appointment services can not be changed the day of the appointment you will be billed for the services you booked. Please let us know 24 hours before the appointment if you would like to make changes.
